Try using a pressure cooker for the wheat berries. They cook in about 25 minutes at high pressure, no soaking, with 4 c. water. One cup of dry wheat berries yields 2 cups cooked. |

2 c wheat berries, cooked 1 apple, chopped ½ a red onion, minced 1/4 c homemade mayonnaise 1/4 c sour cream salt and pepper to taste. |

|
| Combine all ingredients and chill. |
